I Use What as a TP Holder?

The fact that my extra rolls of tp sat for all to see (ok, only me and The Hubs since it's our master bath) has been bothering me for ages! What to do to disguise those little fellas?

Wouldn't your first thought be to use an old Johnnie Walker Red scotch tin?  I thought so!

Found this guy at the thrift shop for $1.25!  I didn't know what I was going to do with it when I bought it but then one day while sitting (yes, you guessed where), a light bulb went off (not in the bathroom - in my head)!  

After I finished my business, I ran downstairs, got the tin and found it fit 2 rolls of tp perfectly. Back upstairs I trekked and the rest is bathroom history.

Isn't Johnnie dapper with his walking stick!  Look at that lady flirting with him!

So think outside the Charmin box and use something different to hold your bathroom necessities.

Exceptionally Eclectic #6 - Wow Powder Room!

What do you get when you take a dilapidated old house and two young DIYers?  Carrie and Chris of Hazardous Design (they live on Hazardous Road!) have been tearing down and building back up this cute house all by their lonesomes (and with a bit of help from plumbers and electricians)!

Their powder room is a great example of their fabulous sense of style!  Check out the before and after!

Classics such as a marble tile floor (love the mini mosaic border), bead board, and porcelain sink look fab with fun touches like the bold wallpaper (the star of the room) and orb chandelier.  Carrie & Chris did all the work themselves except for the rough plumbing and electrical - tipping my hats to them!

Found at an antique store, Carrie spray painted the ornate mirror and transformed it from gold to a more contemporary black.

Carrie bought a plain white roman shade and added the grosgrain ribbon trim (she how she did it here).
