Snowy Mason Jar Candles

Using vintage mason jars (or new-you can find them at the supermarket) with a little "snow" and candles is a fabulous idea that can be used all winter long - inside and out for centerpieces or lining your walkway.  I first saw this idea at The Inspired Roomand it's so simple that I just had to recreate it and share with you!  All you need are mason jars, Epsom salts (which look like snow and won't burn), candles and some burlap or ribbon if you want to embellish the jars.

B-Day Bouquet to Celebrate the Big 5-0!

The past two days have been filled with rearranging two living rooms.  The first needed some placement tweaking and now awaits the final accessory touches which I will be hunting for.  The second room was rearranged, but still needs furniture, fabric and accessories.  I'll post before and after pics when everything is complete.

On a fun note, my friend is celebrating the big 5-0 tomorrow.  My girls and I wanted to be one of first to celebrate her birthday so we bought a funny card (you're not 50, you're two hot 25 year olds combined!), a promise of a future mani/pedi complete with champagne and fresh spring tulips (to remind her of new beginnings).  Has anyone ever brought you a bouquet only to have you searching frantically for a vase.  I like to bring flowers in their own unique container to present a no fuss gift.  The tulips look so cute in this vintage mason jar which can be used again and again.
