Old coral, shells, vintage silver and a few glass cloches. These combine to form an unusual centerpiece that can be used year round. This year, it's my Christmas table.
Originally, I used brown woven napkin rings but was at the thrift shop the other day where I scored 8 mercury glass rings for only 25 cents each!
The small piece of coral (only $1 at my most recent estate sale) on the right looks like a brain!
This huge chunk of old coral was found at an estate sale for only $10! I asked the woman to hold it for me while I ran out to get more cash when I returned a couple of hours later, it was still waiting for me (although others tried to buy it). So nice!
This huge glass cloche (the only new thing on the table) fits perfectly over the giant conch shell.
Within the past few weeks, I was lucky enough to find most of what is on the table - all the vintage silver, small piece of coral, and the two small glass cloches. Remember what everything looked like piled on my floor (here)?
The porcelain doorknobs moved from the hutch, where they're usually displayed in a piece of milk glass, to the table.

Love the shells and coral and the colors are so calm (unlike my hectic pre-Christmas days)! Makes me want to pour a glass of wine and pretend I'm down the shore (that's Jersey speak for the beach).
