Screech! With a house that looks like this, nobody in their right mind would pass up a tag sale so of course I pulled over. The Twin Maples is a historical building near my house. A couple of years ago, it was the site of a designer show house and even has an ultra expensive Christoper Peacock kitchen.
The inside is amazing too with a grand staircase leading to a huge leaded glass window, fabulously proportioned rooms with lots of fireplaces, amazing ceiling details and ornate columns.
There was a ton of great stuff. I found a few things - a vintage travel bar set (who knows when you'll want to pull over on the side of the road for an aperitif) with key and original price tag of $16.95, old cabinet door with original hardware turned mirror and a cute bunny cake mold (no, I probably won't be having a baking conniption with this one but it will make a great Easter decoration).
